Hello students!  Welcome to my first attempt at blogging! I hope this will be a very beneficial tool for you throughout this school year.

We will begin the school year with a review of geography and a look at what makes a historian tick.  We will then begin exploring the origins, development, and character of the major centers of civilizations and their relationships with each other from the earliest civilizations of 8000 B.C.E. to Christopher Columbus landing in the Americas.

You might be wondering what we will use this blog for during the school year.  Besides checking from home for updates, I hope you will participate in polls, forum discussions, and some of your work may show up on the brag book page! 

During the school year you will be responsibe for the content of world history we will discuss in class each day as well as incorporating that gained knowlege into projects, (most of which will be done during class time)!

Also, if you look in the right side toolbar (at the bottom), you’ll see a place where you can subscribe to this blog by submitting your email address. I recommend you do this.  When I make a new post, you’ll automatically receive it via email.  Plus you’ll have all assignments at your finger tips!
